Betsy Miller

is an accomplished artist & instructor with over 35 years of diversified experience in the arts. She has exhibited and instructed both nationally & internationally. She is a graduate of Lasell College & Wright State University. Additionally she understudied with Nationally recognized artist Frank Liljegren.

From her studio in Friendswood TX she has been teaching & sharing her passion of the arts for the past 27 years. She teaches approximately 400 students a year, who mostly hear about her classes by word of mouth as she rarely advertises her classes.

Her passion for teaching the fine art principles of art and especially to children precedes her caring reputation.

Many of her students have received numerous art scholarships to such prestigious schools as School of the Arts Chicago, Savannah School of the Arts, University of TX Graphic Design and Ringling College of Art & Design. She continues to share her talents & help promote the importance of the arts with love & dedication locally, statewide & internationally.

Ms. Miller is the owner and operator of Colors of the heart studio located in Friendswood, Tx. From her studio she pursues her passion to create and teach. As a Houstonian resident since 1989, Betsy has enriched and enhanced the ability of students to express themselves as artists by teaching them the many facets of design in art. She embraces a strong commitment to teaching the importance of the arts and self-expression especially in children. Each year she teaches over 500 students of all ages in pastel and mixed media.
